Koop, Marilyn Anne

Marilyn Anne Koop died at her home in Elora, Ontario, on April 1, 2012 surrounded by the love of her family. Marilyn is the dear wife to Howie Southwood and mother to Katie Koop-Southwood. She is the cherished sister of Gary (and Barb), Al (and Sheila, John (and Cathy Walsh) and Eleanor (and Ronald Harder). She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Agnes Koop. She is mourned by her nieces, nephews, numerous friends and Village Idiots Productions. Marilyn’s life work was as a visual artist. She leaves behind her creative work in our homes and in the community. She provided vision and leadership to many community projects and events in Elora.

A memorial will be held Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Elora Legion, Elora, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mennonite Disaster Service (website www.mds.mennonite.net) or the Elora, KIPP project, a communal wood-fired oven in Bissel Park, (at www.kippelora.com).
